My tag line is “Capturing the beauty of now.”
That’s because it’s my mantra. My mission every single session I take on.
I see the beauty in everything, everyone.
Almost always, the beauty I seek to capture is there, shining like radiant sunlight, the minute I tap into emotion. Whether it’s an interaction between two people, or, an expression or mood powerfully communicated by one, I know I’ve captured it when an image makes me well up. (I’m a mush, I admit it! But for the record, so are many of the people I shoot as well apparently! LOL!)
Getting to know a little about the people I’m shooting becomes an important pathway to shooting images that have great meaning for the person I’m shooting–something they will forever treasure, because the images capture a poignant, magical, or once-in-a-lifetime moment in their life. And the interesting part is that, perhaps ironically, these images become, for me, too, something of a diary. A record of the meaningful interactions I’ve been blessed to have as a photographer, and as a citizen of this earth. And so I cherish each experience and the resulting images as well.

I love shooting headshots. Capturing expressions just right, the twinkle in the eyes that brings life to a person’s face. Every personality is unique. Every face is different. So I love using lighting that emphasizes the uniqueness of you.
